Cormorants Are Here!

Cormorant numbers are 250-times historic population records. Each cormorant eats a minimum of one-pound of fish per day; in other words, it takes about three yellow perch to feed the cormorants’ voracious daily appetite. This cormorant was found in a group of three fishing in the Rideau River near Kemptville.

This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II camera and a Sigma 150-600 mm lens set at 600 mm. The shutter speed was set at 1/1600 second, the aperture was set to f7.1 and ISO was set to 640.
